I really hope this is overly exaggerated.

  1. It is not exaggerated. It is really that scary.

  2. I think it just proves that most people don’t care anymore.

The gub’ment has screwed us all so many times that we are just becoming numb.

  3. You know, I live in Australia but the American election gets publicised here. After watching campaigns in progress on the news, I am NOT surprised it’s that bad!!

I don’t know that they should be so worried about people not understanding politics; campaigns rely purely on the hype created by ideological mantras and the state of euphoria motivational speakers easily get crowds into!! I mean, they gather thousands of registered voters, hit them with uplifting music and lights etc and get them all up-beat, it spreads and everyone is too busy feeling good and not knowing why that they attribute it to the amazing ‘politician’ standing on stage.

Meanwhile, the ‘politician’ is explaining to the public their qualities and why they should be voted in. With such policies as “MOOOOVE MOUNTAIN!! I SAID MOOOVE MOUNTAIN!!” (God knows those mountains get in the way…) and important things to remember, like “We never had a black president before people!”. And of course it’s tough to ignore a hockey Mum with ‘Tina Fey glasses’ and a wardrobe that costs six years wages.

It scares me to think that all you need is music, lights and catchphrases to win over millions of people in one of the most powerful countries in the world! It’s scary. Not that I’m worried… but gullibility seems to be at an all-time high.

  4. what a bunch of bullshit
its not our civic duty to vote, but its a civic right, and any citizen can exercise it.

  5. I hate to say it, but this is the perfect example of why Obama won the election.
